I predicted that everyone would want a tie-dye hoodie after our low-water immersion hoodie and our bleach-dye hoodie – I was right.

Next up is Gabrielle, who found a light grey hoodie and turned it into a tie-dye spiral hoodie.

She chose purples and blue…and of course added a black spider, because she has to spray EVERYTHING with black.

Watch her create a tie-dye spiral hoodie below!

Blurple is a colour, right?! Gabrielle mixed the turquoise and purple so we’ll call it blurple.

Wrapping the spiral really tightly (note: it took both of us to coordinate it) was key here. With bulky, fluffy fabric a few rubber bands aren’t enough.

We use Procion dyes, but if you want something a little simpler Tulip tie-dye kits are a great option.

Thanks for watching! We’d love to hear if you decide to try it and DIY your own tie-dye spiral. Tag @dyediyhq on Instagram or Facebook and we’ll check it out.
